Trakomatic Teams Up With NVIDIA to Take Its Video Analytics Solution to the Next Level

Trakomatic, an affiliated company of Cxrus Solutions, has teamed up with NVIDIA to adopt their Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) computing technology, offering an unprecedented performance improvement of up to 25 times faster than the previous generation of its video analytics and position tracking solutions.
“Real-time video processing and image classification involve processing massive amounts of data. By offloading the compute-intensive portions to the GPU, our solutions run significantly faster and are more efficient” said Allen Lin, Chief Executive Officer of Trakomatic. “This in turn enables us to offer our solution at a more cost-effective rate.”
Pioneered in 2007 by NVIDIA, GPU-accelerated computing is the use of a GPU together with a CPU to accelerate an application. Since the GPU features a parallel architecture consisting of thousands of cores, it is capable of processing massive amounts of data simultaneously — ideal for Trakomatic’s data-intensive application. Trakomatic is among the few companies listed in NVIDIA’s global website under machine learning technology.
Trakomatic’s solution is powered by a pair of patent-pending technologies called OTrack and OSense. It is capable of providing an in-depth visitor metrics and analytics, including omni-directional and facial-based tracking with uncompromised accuracy.
